What qualifications do you need to start the AAT Level 4 online course?
You do not need any formal qualifications or prior work experience in order to study the AAT Level 4 qualification, you just need to have completed the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and Level 3 Diploma in Accounting before beginning the Level 4 AAT course.
What does the AAT Level 4 online course cover?
The AAT Level 4 syllabus has been designed to leave learners with all the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in an entry-level accountancy role. AAT Level 4 includes three mandatory modules and an selection of two out of a possible five optional modules.
There are three mandatory AAT Level 3 modules you’ll study to gain your diploma:

- Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements
- Internal Accounting Systems and Controls
You need to study at least two of the optional modules to complete the AAT Level 4 qualification.
Through studying each of these units, you’ll discover and master the fundamentals of AAT Level 4 Financial Performance, AAT Level 4 Financial Statements, AAT Level 4 Cash Management and more. Completing the AAT Level 4 optional units will allow you a deeper understanding of topics within the AAT Level 4 syllabus.
