Frequently asked questions.

Can’t find the answers you’re looking for? Get in touch with our team today.
  • As the highest level of accountancy qualification available through AAT, the professional diploma earned after completing the AAT Level 4 online course is considered equivalent to completing a first year university degree.

  • There is no AAT Level 4 UCAS points equivalent as the Level 4 AAT qualification is considered equivalent to higher education.

  • The AAT Level 4 cost is included in the StaySharp AAT subscription, which can be paid for monthly or quarterly with our flexible subscription option, or can be accessed for 12 months with a one-off.

  • Studying for your AAT Level 4 course online allows you to study for a career in accountancy with full flexibility. With all course materials made available online, you can study from anywhere and work at your own pace, all without the need to attend in-person classes or lectures.

  • While the AAT accountancy pathway is well-suited to anyone looking to pursue a tax and accountancy career regardless of previous experience, you’ll need to have completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and Level 3 Diploma in Accounting before moving on to your AAT Level 4 studies. This is because the AAT Level 4 units, such as AAT Level 4 Personal Tax, AAT Level 4 Business Tax, AAT Level 4 Financial Performance and AAT Level 4 Financial Statements, build upon the knowledge and practice of the prior levels of study.

  • As this is the final unit in the AAT bookkeeping pathway, receiving your AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting will allow you to begin your accounting career in an entry level position. AAT accreditation is highly respected in the industry, so this certification is sure to open doors for graduates – you may just be spoilt for choice when deciding what to do after AAT Level 4.

  • AAT’s accountancy courses are designed to give learners with no prior experience the knowledge needed to work in entry-level roles but do not offer accountancy courses for managers. Anyone looking for management bookkeeping courses should consider studying a course with CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).

  • You’ve no shortage of options for what to do after AAT Level 4. Positions well-suited to those who have completed the AAT Level 4 qualification include trainee accountant, accounting assistant, accounts payable clerk, junior bookkeeper and more

  • It takes around 6-18 months to complete each module of the AAT bookkeeping qualification, though this varies depending on the level of time you are able to dedicate to your studies.

  • Due to intellectual property laws, it’s not possible to download the majority of course materials. You’ll need an active internet connection to authenticate your account and access your learning content. However, some course videos are available to download and watch later.

  • The 14-day free trial is limited to one per course, per customer. If you want to re-subscribe to a course you have subscribed to previously, please purchase it as normal. You’ll be automatically moved to the paid subscription within 3 working days.
