ACCA Level 3 entry requirements

You should have completed the other two ACCA levels, Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills, or have received exemptions from Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills before progressing to ACCA Level 3. This is due to the prior knowledge needed to pass the ACCA Strategic Professional Level.

You may check if you're qualified for an exemption from the previous levels on the ACCA website.

Assessments

The ACCA Level 3 consists of four exams.

ACCA Strategic Professional syllabus

The ACCA Strategic Professional modules are split into two mandatory modules and a choice of two out of four optional modules. Learners must also complete the ethics and professional skills module. This can either be before you begin your studies or concurrently. You can apply the professional skills you learn from this to your exam and to the workplace.

You must show that you have the decision-making skills necessary to pass the Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) exam. You will be put to the test on concepts, theories, and principles in a corporate reporting environment, but more importantly, on how well you can use this knowledge in practical situations.

SBL replicates the workplace and gives you real-world problems to solve, enabling you to show off a range of technical, practical, and professional skills.

When making or advising decisions regarding the financial management of an organisation in the private and public sectors, you'll use the pertinent knowledge, skills, and professional judgement expected of a senior financial executive or advisor.

The difficulties auditors will encounter in their careers are reflected in the Advanced Audit and Assurance exam. You will need to consider best practises and recent developments as you analyse, assess, and draw conclusions about the assurance engagement and other audit and assurance issues.

In order to inform people and businesses about how the major taxes affect their financial decisions and situations, you'll apply the necessary knowledge, skills, and professional judgement.

In order to choose and apply strategic management accounting techniques in various business contexts and to contribute to the evaluation of an organization's performance and strategic development, you will apply relevant knowledge, skills, and professional judgement.
